According to some, in my opinion slightly optimistic estimates, Hizbullah has lost by yesterday approximately 50 percent of the firepower it had a year ago. But more conservative estimates suggest at least ten percent.
Either way — this is great news! „Hizbullah“ continues to take down one mighty blow after another for almost a week now. G-d willing, this situation continues and we will pray that it will continue further.
Hizbullah’s losses are great and extremely sensitive (the uprising of pagers and other electronics, the elimination of virtually the entire military top brass of the group, the destruction of much of the missile stockpile, the mass flight of southern Lebanese — a tremendous pressure on Hizbullah, which presents itself as the „protector“ of the Lebanese). Nasrallah’s achievements so far, thank G-d, have been ruined chicken coops and cowsheds. Rocket attacks on Israel, which have spread to Haifa and, according to Nasrallah’s claims, to Zichron Yaakov, have so far been successfully repelled by our air defenses and have not resulted in death or significant damage.
For decades, we have been threatened, intimidated and deterred from acting against Hizbullah. (Worse, not so long ago, politicians like Gantz and Eisenkot, while in government, were demanding a halt to hostilities. Until a couple of weeks ago, the Secretary of Defense was offering to accept the „settlement“ proposed by the Harris-Biden administration, which involved territorial concessions to Hizbullah in exchange for promises not to touch us. Thank G-d that the head of the government was able to get the military to start acting decisively.)
And here, it seems to us, an extremely important truth is revealed, as I have written many times in the past: when we attack decisively and with all our might — we successfully crush our enemies, depriving them of most of their capabilities.
Of course, we still have a great deal of work to do to bring the people of the north home. I am convinced that we will not regain security on the northern border without the establishment of a security zone in southern Lebanon that is free of all inhabitants and under our full control. We cannot achieve that without ground maneuvers, just by bombing.
However, the beginning has been made. Hizbullah has lost an enormous amount of its firepower, including its strategic stockpile of missiles, precision missiles, drones, etc.
We see this as a great miracle! We have just started to act decisively and immediately managed to deliver a crushing blow, changing the entire balance of power in the region. And, let us note, without any loss of life for Israel. Isn’t this a manifestation of G-d’s great mercy and miracles revealed to us?
No dead IDF soldiers, no losses in the rear, not a single downed airplane, not a single damaged combat vehicle. And this despite the fact that Hizbullah has already lost a huge part of what it has been accumulating for 20 years. Isn’t this incredible achievement a colossal miracle?
And the other colossal miracle is that Hizbullah is absorbing all these blows and responding in a very limited and weak way. Yesterday, one might have assumed that Nasrallah was holding back, strategizing; today, it looks much more like he would like to respond more forcefully, but having lost control of the situation, he is not very capable. Of course, Hizbullah’s capabilities are still great and we should be prepared for serious challenges. But with God’s help, acting with determination, we will succeed.
We are living in a time of great miracles. It is our responsibility to realize this, spread the message everywhere, and thank the Almighty for them!
